The BSA has been specifically designed to be M.H.R.A compliant for Blood Storage Refrigerators.
It has two temperature alarm functions, one ALERT and one ACTION.
It uses a single PT1000 probe which acts as a fast response “Air” probe and as a 200ml “Ballasted” probe to track blood temperature.
The use of electronic ballasting eliminates the need for wet ballasts and provides excellent long-term stability and immunity from leakage or contamination.
It is both mechanically and electrically compatible with a standard MPA-2A making an upgrade to full M.H.R.A compliance a simple cost-effective exercise.
Connection is by vibration proof sprung terminal strip with clear permanent terminal labelling.
The internal backup battery provides audible and high visibility alarms even if the power has failed.
The door is lockable to prevent unauthorised alarm acceptance and the Action Alarm is latching with acceptance via a “Supervisors” key switch.
